Diane Churchill is a painter living in Nyack with a studio at the Garner Arts Center in Garnerville, NY. She is an abstract painter whose primary passion is harnessing the power of color.

She exhibits frequently in Rockland County and New York City. Her most recent solo show “Tone/Color” , an art/music collaboration, was at the Garner Arts Center in Garnerville, NY. Other solos exhibits include the Rockland Center for the Arts, Ray Lagstein Gallery in Nyack and Julio Valdez Project Space in NYC. She has had a long association with feminist gallery Soho 20 in New York City. Recent group shows have been at the Perry Lawson Gallery, Summer Salon in Nyack, P.S. 1 Project Space in East Harlem and Carter Burden Gallery in Chelsea.

Travel and artists residencies have been important to her work. In July 2023 she was at El Sur, in Mexico City, in 2019 she was at Macina di San Cresci in Greve, Italy. Previously she was awarded residencies in India, France, and as a young woman, Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Churchill received a degree in Art History from Wellesley College, attended the Brooklyn Museum Art School and received an M.A. in Painting from Hunter College
